Dec. 27th, 2011 05:15 pmWas anyone truly surprised at the revelation that Sirius Black is a dog? It is hardly news that he uses Lupin as a tool to harm others when he can. Lupin, of course, being a man of strong passions, cannot be held to blame.
Dora, you have my sympathies, though I doubt you were as surprised as Minerva initially seemed to think.
Private Message to Severus Snape
Date: 2011-12-28 12:27 am (UTC)I never pegged you for the gossipy type.
Milland must be rubbing off on you.
I'd trust that Tonks, Remus, and Sirius, adults all, will manage somehow to sort out their personal lives. Perhaps not in the way any of us would have, but, then again, it's not up to us, is it?
On another note, I truly appreciated our conversation at the party. I can't tell you how much it means to Frank and me that you're willing to tutor Neville, and I believe that it will make a great deal of difference to him. How best to proceed? Should I make him aware that you'll be approaching him? If you're worried about his connecting you with me, we could go about it in whatever way you'd think best.

Severus, I know you and Remus and Sirius have had your history. But is what you wrote below entirely necessary as a public statement, where everyone can see? Tonks is certainly going through her share of struggles, and you have no immediate issue with her. If you are attempting to support her, this is not helping. That, and our Hermione is privy to what we say. If you're going to be that sort of vicious, I'd rather you keep your opinions between yourself and your intended recipient only.
You know by now I'm not the sort to keep quiet, but there. I've said my piece.
